Description:

Classroom participation is a huge part of the learning experience. It takes courage to speak up, and sometimes psychic abilities to know who understands the lesson. Whether texting their response to a poll via text message or completing an online survey, survey and polling tools can be helpful for gaining immediate feedback from students.

 Assignment:

  1. On your Digital Dozen wiki, create a new page called "Surveys and Polling".
  2. Briefly explore the survey and polling tools listed in "What Survey and Polling Tools are Available". Read the tutorials and idea links for each tool.
  3. Answer the discussion question found on the Discussions tab of this wiki page.
  4. Select the survey or polling that you like best and create an account. Create something you can use in your classroom or with other participants
  5. On your "Surveys and Polling" page on your Wikispace, write your ideas for using survey and polling sites personally or in your classroom. Embed your poll or survey if it has the capability. Write a reflection about the survey or poll you administered. What worked (or didn't)?
  6. Read the answers to the discussion questions posted by your fellow Digital Dozen classmates. Respond to any posts you feel strongly about or have something to add to.
